Gooseberry was established in May 2004 by Sinéad Hallahan after returning from time out spent abroad from her past life in the Leisure and Recreation world.
On her return Sinéad wanted to create a store offering an alternative style from that in the high street chain stores and bring it to the seaside town of Clonakilty where she had moved to and fell in love with a number of years previously.

In the store we are focused on sourcing women's and men's brands from all over Europe that are exclusive to independent boutiques. In 2019 Gooseberry Introduced a kids range. We are constantly aiming to provide sustainable clothing that will add to your existing wardrobes. And look forward to introducing new product for all our customers to enjoy.
